Short version: the tools are free, you may use what they generate for your own projects and for products you sell, and you are responsible for checking that a template actually fits before you rely on it.

Using the site

MakerFold provides free, browser-based template generators and instructional guides. You may use them without an account. Please do not attempt to disrupt the site or to use it in a way that breaks the law.

Generated templates

You may use the PDF and SVG files that these tools generate from your own measurements for personal projects and for physical products you make and sell, without attribution and without paying us. You may not redistribute the generators themselves, present them as your own service, or sell the raw template files as a product.

Site content

The text, diagrams and code of this site are original to this project and remain its property. The bundled Inter font is licensed separately under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (licence text).

No guarantee of fit

The tools output geometry at the dimensions you enter. We do not guarantee that a printed or cut template will fit a specific product, work with a specific printer or cutting machine, or meet any regulatory or commercial packaging requirement. Paper thickness, scoring, glue and printer settings change the result. Always print at 100%, check the calibration ruler and assemble one sample before making a batch.

Liability

The site is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for wasted materials, misprints, lost sales or other losses arising from use of the site or its outputs.

Advertising and links

Any advertising or sponsor block is labelled as such and links to third parties we do not control. Their sites have their own terms and privacy practices.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the site changes; the current version is always this page.
