Soap band template, made to your bar
Enter the front width, thickness and band width of your bar. The tool draws a four-panel belly band with four fold lines and a glue overlap, then lays copies onto A4 or US Letter sheets at exact size.
A belly band wraps around the bar's cross-section and leaves both ends of the soap exposed. It is not a full box or a label for a round or tapered container. Add a small total extra length (E) so the band slides on; it is shared evenly across the four panels.
Measurement convention. W is across the front face, D is the thickness, B is the band width along the bar. E is the total extra length around the whole wrap, not per side.
W across the front face, D the thickness, B the band width along the bar. The band's flat length is 2W + 2D + E + G.

Paper and PDF options
Paper settings change the sheet layout only. They never change the product dimensions.
Border kept clear around the page. A 12 mm header and an 18 mm footer sit inside it. Allowed: 5–20 mm.
Whole number from 1 to 100. The quantity never changes the cut file.
Download
Free, no account. Files keep the generated dimensions; print at 100% and check the 50 mm ruler before cutting.
One piece per page on a page sized to the piece (soap band 204 × 90 mm). It is not tiled and is not meant for the paper selected above.
One file per unique piece at exact size. Quantity does not duplicate cut geometry. Assign the SCORE group to your cutter’s scoring or fold operation.
The browser cannot confirm that a file was saved or printed, so this page only reports when a download has started.

Worked example
For a bar 60 mm wide and 25 mm thick, with a 40 mm band, 2 mm total extra length and a 12 mm glue overlap, each front and back panel becomes 60.5 mm and each side panel 25.5 mm. The flat template is 184 × 40 mm with folds at 60.5, 86, 146.5 and 172 mm from the left edge; the glue tab spans the last 12 mm. Five bands fit on one A4 sheet.
The medium bar preset gives these generated values:
- Flat template size: 184 × 40 mm
- Front and back panel width (W + E/4): 60.5 mm
- Side panel width (D + E/4): 25.5 mm
- Wrap perimeter (P): 172 mm
- Glue overlap (G): 12 mm
- Fold positions from the left edge: 60.5 mm, 86 mm, 146.5 mm, 172 mm
- Front printable area (3 mm clearance): 54.5 × 34 mm
How to make it
- Print at actual size Print the PDF at 100% / Actual size on paper or light cardstock. Turn off any “fit to page” or “shrink” option.
- Check the ruler Measure the 50 mm calibration ruler in the footer with a real ruler before cutting anything. If it is not 50 mm, fix the print scaling first.
- Cut the outer rectangle Cut along the solid outline with a craft knife and straight edge, or a guillotine. The band is one long strip.
- Score the four fold lines Score along the dashed lines with a bone folder or an empty ballpoint pen. Fold each line in the same direction so the printed side faces outward.
- Wrap a test band around the bar Start with the front panel on the face you want to show. Wrap the four panels around the bar and bring the glue tab under the front panel.
- Check overlap and looseness The hatched glue tab should sit fully under the front panel with a gap before its next fold. If the band is loose, reduce the extra length E; if it is tight, increase E.
- Glue Apply glue to the hatched tab only, press it under the front panel and hold until set. Try a plain-paper sample first before printing a batch.
Check your print scale
Every template sheet carries a 50 mm ruler in its footer. Before cutting a batch, print this one-page test and measure it. It is a separate download and is not a template sheet.
One page with horizontal and vertical 50 mm references and a 50 × 50 mm square. Print at 100% and measure.
Limitations
- The glue overlap must stay at least 3 mm short of the next fold inside the front panel; the form rejects wider overlaps rather than moving folds.
- The tool does not estimate soap shrinkage or curing changes. Measure a cured bar, or add more extra length and test.
- Optional PDF text sits centred on the front panel only, at least 3 mm from edges and folds.
- Light paper and cardstock craft construction only. This is not a shipping-box or corrugated-board engineering tool.
- Digital scale accuracy and physical fit are different claims. Paper thickness, scoring, glue and printer settings affect the assembled result; test one sample first.
- Compatibility with any particular printer, cutting machine or retail display is not promised. The SVG uses plain CUT and SCORE groups; you assign the operations in your software.
- Fraction input (such as 1 1/2) is not supported yet; use decimals.
